M3:3132 — ناگهانی آن مغیث هر دو کون / مصطفی پیدا شد از ره بهر عون

This couplet marks the dramatic turning point in the story of the parched caravan. The preceding verses describe a group of Arabs, stranded in a desert, their animals and themselves on the brink of death from thirst. They have given up hope, resigned to their fate. Into this scene of utter despair, Rumi introduces the Prophet Muhammad, referred to here as Mughīth-i har du kawn (Helper of both worlds) and Mustafa (the Chosen One), a common epithet for the Prophet. His appearance is described as 'sudden' (nāgahānī), emphasizing the miraculous and unexpected nature of his arrival, which immediately signals a shift from hopelessness to salvation. His presence is explicitly 'for aid' (bahr-i ʿawn), setting the stage for the divine intervention that will follow.
