A man of heart saw a pregnant dog, and the puppies inside her belly were barking. He was astonished, for the wisdom of a dog's bark is to guard, but barking inside the mother's womb is not guarding. Also, barking is for seeking help or milk, etc., and there are no such benefits there. When he came to himself, he supplicated to God, 'And no one knows its interpretation except God.' The answer came: 'That is the image of a people who have not emerged from the veil, whose inner eyes have not opened, yet they claim insight and utter sayings from which they gain no strength or help, nor do the listeners gain guidance or growth.'›
