Khwarazmshah (may God have mercy on him), while riding in his entourage, sees a very rare horse, and the King's heart becomes attached to its beauty and agility. Imad al-Mulk cools the King's desire for the horse in his heart, and the King prefers his words over his own sight, just as Hakim (may God have mercy on him) said in Ilahiname: 'When the tongue of envy becomes a horse-trader, you find Joseph a piece of coarse canvas.' Due to the envious mediation of Joseph’s brothers, so much beauty was concealed in the hearts of the buyers, and it appeared ugly, such that 'they were among those who disdained him' (Qur'an 12:20).›
