M4:1063 — مرده زنده کرد عیسی از کرم / من به کف خالق عیسی درم

This couplet is spoken by a 'dead bird' (M4:1055) that represents the human soul, or perhaps the perfected mystic, who appears outwardly 'dead' to worldly pursuits but is, in fact, alive and moving by divine will. The preceding verses explain that this 'dead bird' is not truly dead but has been 'killed' by the King (God) and now moves not by its own wings but by the hand of the Just One (M4:1059-1060). It warns others not to mistake its apparent lifelessness, but to see it as being held in the King's hand (M4:1062).

In this context, the 'dead bird' uses the example of Jesus (ʿĪsā), who famously revived the dead through God's grace. However, the bird immediately elevates its own condition: if Jesus revived the dead through grace, the bird itself is held directly in the hand of God, the 'Creator of Jesus.' This is not a boast of superiority over Jesus, but rather an emphatic statement about the source of its own life and movement. It signifies a state of complete surrender and direct connection to the ultimate divine power, suggesting that being in the hand of the Creator is a more profound and secure state than being merely a recipient of grace, however miraculous. It implies that its 'death' is not an end but a transformation into a state of direct divine agency.
