سالک خطاب به مرشد کامل میگوید که تو برای من همان آینهی تمامنمایی هستی که حقیقت وجود مرا به من نشان میدهد و من در وجود تو، خود واقعیام را مشاهده کردم.
این بیت اوج لحظهی کشف و شهود سالک در مسیر خودشناسی است. مولانا در ابیات قبل، از جستجوی بیحاصل خود برای یافتن «نقش جان» یا هویت حقیقیاش سخن میگوید. او درمییابد که آینههای معمولی فقط ظاهر را نشان میدهند، اما «آینهی جان»، چهرهی یار یا همان انسان کامل است.
در این بیت، سالک سرانجام آن «آینهی کلی» را در وجود مرشد یا معشوق الهی پیدا میکند. نگریستن در چشمان مرشد، صرفاً یک نگاه فیزیکی نیست، بلکه تجربهای از فنا و بقاست. سالک با محو شدن در وجود شفاف و صیقلی مرشد، انعکاس حقیقت خود را، که همان جلوهی الهی در درون اوست، مشاهده میکند. این همان اتحاد و یگانگی است که در بیت بعدی به آن اشاره میشود: «که منم تو، تو منی در اتحاد». چشم انسان کامل، چون از هرگونه خودبینی و خیال پاک شده، به جایگاهی برای تجلی حقایق تبدیل میشود و میتواند تصویر واقعی دیگران را بدون искажение بازتاب دهد.

This couplet is the climax of a spiritual seeker's quest. Having searched in vain for their true identity (naqsh-e jān), they realize that an ordinary mirror only reflects the physical form. The true mirror for the soul, Rumi states, is the face of a perfected human being—the Friend or spiritual guide who comes from "that land" of spiritual reality.
Here, the seeker has found such a person. Gazing at them, they see not just another individual, but the Āyina-ye Kullī, the Universal Mirror. This is a technical term for the Perfect Human (insān al-kāmil), who, by being completely polished and free of self, perfectly reflects the divine attributes. In looking into the eyes of this perfected guide, the seeker doesn't see the guide's ego; they see their own essential self, their true spiritual form, reflected back at them for the first time. This is the moment of recognition, the discovery that self-knowledge is found not in isolation but through the clear, selfless gaze of the Beloved.
