M3:188 — چون در آید نام پاک اندر دهان / نه پلیدی مانَد و نه اندُهان

This beyt concludes a powerful passage where God instructs Moses to pray with a mouth that has committed no sin. Since Moses claims he has no such mouth, God suggests he pray through the mouths of others who have not sinned, or, alternatively, purify his own mouth. The couplet M3:188 explains how this purification occurs: by invoking God's pure name. The act of dhikr (remembrance or invocation of God) is presented as a transformative force. Just as light dispels darkness, the divine name, being inherently pure, expels all 'پلیدی' (defilement, impurity) and 'اندُهان' (sorrows, griefs) from within the individual.
