بخش ۳۰ - نومید کردن وزیر مریدان را از رفض خلوت
The vizier makes his disciples despair of abandoning seclusion
- M1:649 آن وزیر از اندرون آواز دادکای مریدان از من این معلوم باد The vizier’s voice called out from deep inside:“O my disciples, let this be known from me:The vizier, who is in a spiritual retreat, finally speaks from inside his cell to the followers gathered outside, preparing to deliver a message to them.
- M1:650 که مرا عیسی چنین پیغام کردکز همه یاران و خویشان باش فَرد For Jesus himself has sent this word to me:'From all companions and kin, be utterly free.'The vizier claims that Jesus has commanded him to withdraw from all human society, including his closest friends and family, and embrace total solitude.
- M1:651 روی در دیوار کن تنها نشینوز وجود خویش هم خلوت گُزین Turn your face to the wall and sit alone;seek seclusion even from your own existence.This couplet is a command to embrace absolute spiritual solitude, withdrawing not only from other people but also from one's own ego and worldly self.
- M1:652 بعد ازین دستوریِ گفتار نیستبعد ازین با گفت و گویم کار نیست Henceforth, there is no license for speech;henceforth, I have no business with talk.From this moment on, I have received the command to be silent, so I will no longer engage in any form of conversation.
- M1:653 الوَداع ای دوستان من مُرده‌امرخت بر چارم فلک بَر بُرده‌ام Farewell, my friends, for I have died;I’ve borne my belongings to the fourth sky.The vizier dramatically announces to his followers that he is ending all worldly contact, framing his spiritual seclusion as a form of death and ascension to a heavenly realm.
- M1:654 تا به زیر چرخ ناری چون حَطَبمن نسوزم در عَنا و در عَطب So that beneath the fiery sphere, like firewood,I may not burn in hardship and in ruin.The vizier declares he is ascending to heaven to escape the suffering of the material world, which he compares to a fiery place where people burn like kindling.
- M1:655 پهلوی عیسی نشینم بعد ازینبر فرازِ آسمانِ چارمین Beside Jesus I will sit from this day on,upon the heights of the fourth heaven.The vizier declares his spiritual ascension is complete, claiming he will now reside with Jesus in the celestial realm, far beyond the reach of his earthly followers.
