Interpretation of the verse, 'And indeed, the home of the Hereafter — that is the [eternal] life, if they only knew' (Qur'an 29:64): its walls, grounds, water, vessels, fruits, and trees are all alive, speaking and hearing. Therefore, Mustafa (peace be upon him) said, 'The world is a carcass, and its seekers are dogs.' Had the Hereafter no life, it too would be a carcass. A carcass is called such for its deadness, not for its foul smell or decay.›
