M5:3577 — گفت نه نه من حریف آن میم / من به ذوق این خوشی قانع نیم

They are trying to entice him back to their way of life, suggesting that his current state of spiritual detachment is a form of madness or deprivation. However, the prince emphatically refuses, declaring that he is not 'the companion of that wine' (referring to worldly pleasures and distractions). He finds these 'happinesses' to be insufficient and unsatisfying. Rumi uses the metaphor of 'wine' here to represent any source of intoxication or pleasure. While his companions offer the 'wine' of earthly delights, the prince implicitly hints at a different kind of 'wine' – the spiritual ecstasy of divine love – which makes all other joys pale in comparison.
